Web services
CustomsWare is a comprehensive suite of web services that deliver all the customs functionality required by businesses today. Our web services have been designed from the ground up to be multi-jurisdiction, multi-procedure, multi-company, multi-department, multi-lingual, multi-user and multi-currency. Our many years of experience in building enterprise-class systems also means that CustomsWare has been architected for scalability, configurability, reliability and maintainability.
Built on Microsoft's .NET framework, CustomsWare is highly scalable and supports industrial transaction volumes. The CustomsWare architecture also supports workflow, event management, and integration with external systems using XML and SOAP.
CustomsWare implements and is consistent with the WCO Customs Data Model. This has real advantages for integration with other systems and ensures that CustomsWare will remain in step with future WCO and EU initiatives and standards.
CustomsWare can be deployed on most popular database servers, including Oracle 10g and Microsoft SQL Server, among others.
Customisable user interface
CustomsWare is intended to be used as middleware within your business applications, tightly integrated to enhance the functionality of your system without detracting from your systems' familiar user experience.
For businesses that do not have an existing application, do not need a tightly integrated solution or prefer to begin with a loosely-coupled solution, CustomsWare includes a proven, high-performance user interface for data capture. Again reflecting our experience, the CustomsWare user interface is highly customisable, without the need for any software changes.
Security
Security is a fundamental design criteria of every multi-tenant infrastructure, and CustomsWare includes a full-featured security model including role-based security and access control, and WS-Security to provide message integrity, message confidentiality, and single message authentication.
Integration
CustomsWare was intended from its inception to integrate with other systems. CustomsWare can exchange messages in a variety of common formats (EDI X12, XML, CSV) and protocols (AS2, HTTPS, FTP). All message transaction details are stored within the system and remain available for user review and reporting.
